A letterhead, or letterheaded paper, is the heading at the top of a sheet of letter paper (stationery). That heading usually consists of a name and an address, and a logo or corporate design, and sometimes a background pattern. The term “letterhead” is often used to refer to the whole sheet imprinted with such a heading.
Letterheads are generally A4 in size and normally one sided but can be printed on both sides. There is usually a large gap for the information to be written or usually typed.
There is no generalisation of the size of the header or footer on letterheaded paper. We usually tend to design your stationery with enough space for your letter without compromising on your logo or information space.
Letterheads are usually printed on 100gsm paper and up to elite 160gsm weight. They are usually regular printed but can include embossed or even foil blocked logos.
Letterheaded paper does not have to have the company information across the entire top and bottom of the page but can have a logo and address type-setted to the left or right hand side and even a side banner with the information.
